As a Process Safety Engineer, Chai Fen plays a vital role in ensuring industrial processes are safe and environmentally responsible. She focuses on identifying potential hazards, designing safety systems, and conducting Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) to ensure all safety aspects are in place before a process goes live.
Her goal is to foster a strong safety culture, where everyone takes responsibility for maintaining safety standards. She leads safety training, conducts audits, and keeps up with industry advancements and regulations.
Chai Fen’s work takes her between the office and the field. In the office, she analyzes data, writes reports, and collaborates on safety strategies. On-site, she assesses safety systems and engages with operational staff to ensure safety practices are properly followed.

If I could take a month off,
I would definitely travel!
I’d explore new country, experience different cultures, and try all the amazing local foods. Whether it’s wandering through vibrant cities, relaxing on beautiful beaches, or hiking in nature, I’d want to soak up every moment and create unforgettable memories. Traveling always feels like the perfect way to recharge!

My favourite way to unwind after a busy day at work is to workout!
There’s incredibly therapeutic about breaking a sweat after a long day. Whether it’s hitting the gym for some weightlifting, or joining a fitness class, it helps me release stress, clear my mind, and boost my energy. I also enjoy the sense of accomplishment that comes with pushing my limits, whether I’m lifting heavier weights or running a longer distance.
